Virgin Issues

We are currently experiencing some issues with certain customers on tail circuits delivered via Virgin.

From our own technical assessment it looks the problem is widespread across Virgins network as we have circuits affected at multiple nodes.

We will update as soon as we have anymore information.

Upcoming maintenance – Warwick Innovation Centre

12/01/2012 – 19:00 to 21:00 hours

During the above timeslot we will be carrying out maintenance to upgrade our connection into Warwick Innovation Centre.

Service of customers in the WIC will be affected intermittently during this time.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

UPDATE:12/01/2012 19:20 – This work has been completed successfully with minimum disruption to service.

Core network maintenance

This evening (30th December 2011) we will be performing some maintenance on the Warwicknet core network from 8PM until 11PM.  We don’t anticipate this work to be disruptive to customers.

Blythe Valley Park – Outage

At approximately 17:00 this evening (18/12/2011), Blythe Valley Park has suffered a power outage affecting almost all buildings (even the street lights are off!). We have attended site and there is nothing we can do to restore service until the power is restored.

We will continue to monitor the situation.

Blythe Valley Outage

At 10.57 this morning we suffered an outage at our Blythe Valley sites, this was due to a fault on the Virgin circuit feeding the site.

The service was restored at around 12.15. Virgin are investigating what caused the problem.

18/12/2011 – Virgin have informed us that the fault was caused by a faulty power supply in a bit of their equipment. It was replaced and service restored.

Warwick Innovation Centre – Power Failure

We are currently experiencing a power failure at Warwick Innovation Centre and are currently running on UPS. An engineer has been despatched to investigate but it is unlikely we will get a resolution before the UPS fails (20 minutes – circa 17:30).

We apologise for any inconvenienced caused and will endeavour to get the issue resolved asap.

LINX Maintenance tonight

8th November 2011 21:00 to 23:00

During the above maintenance slot we will be migrating our LINX (Juniper) connection from Telehouse East to our new Interxion POP. All LINX Juniper routes will be withdrawn gracefully before migration.

There should be no affect on any customer service, though the period is still marked as ‘at risk’

Telehouse East Emergency Maintenance Tonight

2/11/2011 – 23:30 to 01:00

During the above timeslot we will carrying out emergency maintenance at our Telehouse East pop.

This is due to a fault, identified by Cisco, on one of our supervisor cards and they are recommending immediate replacement.

We will begin to bring down sessions on the affected router at 23:30, with the card itself being replaced at 00:05, we expect sessions to be restored from 00:30 onwards.

Telehouse East directly connected customers will be without service from 00:00 onwards, Warwicknet Coventry sites will be failed over to alternative route and should not be affected, Blythe Valley Park and other Birmingham locations will also be without service.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Update: This maintenance has now been completed successfully.

Problems at Blythe Valley Park today

Further to last nights scheduled maintenance at Blythe Valley Park we have experienced some teething problems today that has affected most tenants at that site.

These issues boiled down to:

1) A duplex mismatch on one of our backhaul circuits into the site.

2) A number of tenants using out of date and deprecated nameservers.

The duplex issue has been resolved and we have temporarily worked around the nameserver problem.

Please can you ensure they are using the following nameservers:

94.125.128.241
94.125.132.2
94.125.135.2

We apologise for any inconvenience caused, however we have completed the deployment of:

1) A new monitored UPS
2) A new resilient switching platform
3) IPV6 routing deployment

LINX Maintenance Tonight

From midnight this evening LINX will be migrating our LINX Brocade connection to the new Juniper network.

There maybe some small disruption to service on routes we recieve via LINX Brocade.
