By | 14:10 13 April 2018

We have been alerted to a further repeat of the loss of service affecting customers at London Road Industrial Estate in Newbury (THNU52 and THNU79).

The previous issue had been resolved according to the power supplier, so we will be escalating this with them as an urgent priority.

SSE are dispatching an engineer to investigate this recurring issue. We have stressed to them the importance of getting this issue fully resolved, as it appears that previous remedial works to resolve the fault have not produced a permanent fix for this problem.

This post will be updated with further information once we have received an ETA from the SSE engineer to site.

SSE advise that the fuses in the substation were replaced at around 15:00 but this has not restored service, they are continuing to investigate.

SSE believe the mains power to be restored, a WarwickNet engineer is en route to check the breakers in the cabinet, ETA is 16:45

The engineer is on site and has verified that the cabinet has power. The issue appears to be due to the network switch in the cabinet not booting cleanly following the power outage. The switch is currently being power cycled and service should be restored shortly.

The switch has booted cleanly and service should now be restored. The recurring issue with power will be discussed with SSE as a priority.
